These works aims to identify victims who have experienced violence and those who wish their power will impose domination on vulnerable groups, perceived by them as an easy target. The idea was born when Andreou wanted to come up against this situation. The difference between the bourgeoisie, seen as the soldier and the officer - and immigrant women "inferior" to them.
The artist puts his body to imitate the same victims who somehow suffered violence in the past and then he shows the image that comes to his mind when he hears about any incident like that, in the present. With the repetitive movement, He metaphorically presents the place of work, where the victim mechanically obeys. The same place where the perpetrator adopts social rules allowing him to have a double life, representing an example of the society.
These active members are among us and reveal evidence of sadistic behavior, with satisfaction that their victims certify their entrapment there - this explains the seal on the right side of the signature.
YES, SIR!, describes the horrible "Oreste" case of April 14, 2019. Officer Nikos Metaxas killed 5 women and 2 minors. The title of the video aims to expose the sense of submission such a simple phrase conveys. The same phrase, we, as soldiers, encounter in the army, when in response to orders a simple response like ''yes'' gets "Yes, sir, Yes", therefore implying the profession exercised by the killer. A plain sentence, with a peremptory meaning: you agree and are obey the instructions given by your superior. Phrase that the protagonist gets to use in his daily personal life.
Women of all ages from various poor countries come to the island of Cyprus seeking for a job and therefore a better future. Most of them usually looking for something menial. Specifically, "Oreste" spoke with these women via dating apps or via social networks; with some of them being approached with the excuse of photography lessons, his hobby. The story ends with the bodies of these seven murdered women found inside suitcases in various lakes across the island.
